New Appointments Paul O'Sullivan and Rebecca

New Recruits Paul OSullivan (Production Assistant) and Rebecca Roche (Graphic Designer) are going to be great assets to our team at Fermoy Print & Design

More good news at Fermoy Print & Design this week as we welcome two new full-time members of staff.

Graphic Designer Rebecca Roche and Production Assistant and Photographer Paul O’Sullivan have joined our team at Fermoy Print & Design.

Rebecca is a very talented designer and while she has been working part-time with us since August 2010, by popular demand she has gone full-time. Originally from Fermoy, Rebecca completed a Diploma in Graphic Design at Coláiste Dhulaigh in Dublin before completing a Degree in Graphic Design in the University of Wolverhampton.

No stranger to hard work, Rebecca spent two months volunteering in Central America with the Mayfield Arts Centre working on a project exploring Integration and Development through art between Ireland and Guatemala. Quoting ‘Life’ as her immediate inspiration, Rebecca said that the beauty in everyday things and the unique qualities of people are very often the inspiration for alot of her work. See some samples of her work below.

Paul maybe new to the area of printing but he’s not stranger to the arts. An accomplished photographer, Paul has always had an interest in the different types of print and is excited about the new venture with the company. Paul has spent most of his career (16 years) in the hospitality sector, working at managerial level in pubs and function rooms and the change of scenery comes as a welcome challenge. Fermoy Print and Design are excited to add a photographer to the list of services we provide for customers and to enhance all the artwork needed to be done. You can check out some of Paul’s beautiful photography on his facebook page, http://www.facebook.com/pauljamesphotography. We have inserted below a small sample of Paul’s work.

Our company CEO, Liam Barry has said he is delighted that he has two new “dedicated and talented” people to add to his already successful team. “The company is expanding and growing in many positive ways at this moment. We have always been fortunate in the staff we have hired and are delighted to have two more dedicated and talented individuals to add to this team.”

Step-by-Step guide to the perfect Wedding Invitations

Black & White Wedding Invite

Designed by Rebecca Roche, Fermoy Print and Design In-house Graphic Design

A Wedding Invite is a very special piece of stationery as it signals the beginning of the final countdown to your Wedding day. Once the last card is slotted through the post box, it’s time to start the last minute preps and enjoy the upcoming celebrations .

Invites are also the trend setters for your day and set the tone for what is going to be the best day of your life, therefore the right amount of time and imagination needs to be paid. This step-by-step guide should help make sure you have the invites you are proud of.

Step 1: Define your budget. Your budget may some important things but don’t let it hamper your creativity and elegance. You can create invitations to fall in love with regardless of the budget. A precise budget idea will help you establish which types of cards you would prefer and how many you need.  The traditional wedding stationery package has expanded to include Save the Date cards, mass/ceremony booklets and table place-names as well as the traditional wedding and evening invitations, RSVP cards and thank you cards.

Step 2: Choose your style. Let your personality speak through your invites, your guests will find warmth and beauty in personalised cards. Invites are your personal way of inviting every guest and just as every bride and bridegroom are individual and special, so too is every single piece of wedding stationery.

Step 3: Romance in written word. The words you write inside your wedding card are very personal. They are words you want to portray to someone exactly how much you want them to be there on your special day, so make sure you get them right. Look up what other people have done and see what you like best.

Step 4:  Let the celebrations begin.  Stamp, Seal and Send approximately 6 weeks before the wedding to give your guests plenty of notice to get prepared. Then take a moment to enjoy the sense of occasion. A wedding is a very special time and doing the invites is a memorable part of it, don’t let it pass you by. Enjoy every moment.
